Harold Thau is proud to present the New York premiere of ALMOST HEAVEN: SONGS OF JOHN DENVER, a new musical opening Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Off-Broadway’s Promenade Theatre (2162 Broadway’s at 76th Street). Directed by Tony Award nominee Randal Myler (It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues), ALMOST HEAVEN begins preview performances on Friday, October 28.

ALMOST HEAVEN weaves together the songs of John Denver to create a uniquely theatrical narrative that reflects upon the country during the years in which he wrote them. Twenty-nine of Denver’s songs – including “Rocky Mountain High,” “Sunshine on My Shoulders,” “Annie’s Song,” “Leaving on a Jet Plane,” “Calypso” and more – are rediscovered and reinvented, performed against a backdrop of stunning visual images.

Tickets for ALMOST HEAVEN are now available either online at Telecharge.com or by calling them at (212) 239-6200.
