The legacy of beloved late entertainer John Denver will be experienced as never before, when BMG Strategic Marketing Group releases John Denver Definitive All-Time Greatest Hits, a comprehensive best of collection of his most popular work.

This album will be bolstered by a 4 song bonus disc with previously unreleased tracks - including the earliest version of his breakthrough hit composition, "Leaving On A Jet Plane" that was taped in 1966, before he signed his first solo recording contract. It will be released on October 5, 2004, which coincides with the 35th anniversary of Denver's first album release on RCA.

John Denver Definitive All-Time Greatest Hits will feature 20 tracks, including 10 Billboard #1 hits such as "Sunshine On My Shoulders" "Annie's Song" and "Fly Away." It also includes favorites such as "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Leaving On A Jet Plane," and "Rocky Mountain High." These are the original recordings, newly remastered from master tapes for optimum sound quality. The album was coordinated in cooperation with longtime manager Hal Thau.

The 20-page booklet included in John Denver Definitive All-Time Greatest Hits will feature never-before-seen photos of the late entertainer and comprehensive liner notes written by longtime Rolling Stone contributing editor David Wild and a song-by-song commentary with personal stories by longtime producer and friend Milt Okun.
