This world premiere theatrical event celebrates the music and ethos of Denver’s namesake. With sparkling new arrangements of his best-known ballads – and some surprising discoveries – a fourteen-member ensemble explores the work of this internationally acclaimed songwriter. John Denver spoke to millions around the world with such songs as “Country Roads”, “Sunshine on my Shoulders”, “Rocky Mountain High”, “Back Home Again” and “Poems, Prayers and Promises”. “Almost Heaven” looks at his remarkable success through these songs and a dozen others. It will bring you back home again – and send you out singing.

After it’s debut in Denver, the production is expected to tour nationally.
An autobiography written by Harold Thau, entitled “The Bronx to Broadway (A Journey in Show Business)” is slated for a 2001 release.
Hal's work with John began when John joined the Mitchell Trio, which was the start of a 30-year relationship. As John’s longtime business partner, manager, and close personal friend, Hal's book "The Bronx to Broadway", gives perspective and insight into John’s life, career and personal relationships.
Hal is principally involved in the promotion of John’s music and the continuation of John’s legacy. .
